8 Lap Paarlauf
Paarlauf races are for teams with two
members who run in turn, however, in the case of a paarlauf it is the
baton that must cover the total number of laps. Whilst two team members
must cover the total of six laps, they do not neccessarily have to
cover the same distance each. Each team member must cover at least one
lap. The baton can be exchanged when running in either direction. There
is no limit to the amount of times a competitor can run, but the baton
must cover the total number of laps.
The competitor not running must wait on the team mat.
Paarlauf races are always run as time-trials. They are a strenuous
competition and never run as heats and a final.
